I cannot load any web pages (500 Internal Server Error) 3 replies 6 have this problem 3260 views Last reply by cor-el 5 years ago herbertf Posted 5/26/11, 1:49 PM I cannot currently load any web pages when using Firefox. I get a standard "500 Internal Server Error" page on every site. I have tested using IE and there are no problems loading pages. I have tried creating a new profile, uninstalling and reinstalling, upgrading to Firefox 4 (was previously using 3) and uninstalling and wiping all profile information, but nothing has worked. The problem started when a video player made in Flash crashed (channel4.com). Windows was completely unresponsive and I could not exit full screen mode of the video. I tried pressing esc, ctrl + esc, ctrl + alt + delete etc but nothing worked and I had to hold the power button on the tower for 4 seconds to turn it off. When I started up again I was presented with the screen when Windows fails to load normally and I selected the "Start Windows normally", which booted up Windows successfully. Since then I have been unabe to view any web pages in Fireox, I always get the 500 Internal Server Error page. This is an odd one and I am out of ideas, any help would be much appreciated as I really want to get back to using Firefox! Thanks I cannot currently load any web pages when using Firefox. But only in Firefox. If I pop open the link in something like Chrome or IE - or even on a different device - all is well. Additionally, if I "reboot" Firefox, all is well. Started happening after I wrote a script that restarts our WAS on a weekly basis - rainbows and ponies for Windows 500 internal server task scheduler! What the what, I say! I think I might be doing something wrong-o? Has anyone else run into this? --- Sarah Reply With Quote 03-06-2013,12:27 PM #2 Progytech View Profile View Forum Posts Private Message Visit Homepage Member Real NameEdhy Rijo Join Date Sep 2012 Location Bronx NY Posts 348 Re: 500 error - only on Firefox?
