Iis 500 Error Log
gives Internal Server Error 500 up vote -1 down vote favorite Need your help with an legacy ASP application hoisted on IIS 7. The application connects to oracle 10 and fetches data. If the rows exceed 500 then Internal Server 500 error is shown in the browser. How to overcome this ? Is there any logs I can check to fine out this error. Is iis 8 send errors to browser there anything i need to do on timeout parameters. Any pointers will be of great help. I prefer to troubleshoot in this way so I don't have do be connected to the server via a remote session, console, or retrieve log files from the server to get an idea of what went wrong. (I have turned off "Show Friendly Http Messages". In IIS 8 I have gone to ASP settings and set "Send Errors to Browser = True". I've got simple ASP pages working fine. I'm porting code from Windows 2003 over 500 internal server to 2012. And having to debug misc issues. The only place I see the error is in the IIS Log after a few minutes. That's way to slow to fix the errors, and it doesn't give much info. I'm running the browser on the remote server itself. Ideally want to get errors in any browser, not just IE. Added 02/25/2015 - it seems to work maybe 5% of the time.
