It runs fine one one server instance, while on other instance, the server returns 500 (Internal Server Error) when transaction time exceeds 60 seconds. Application runs fine on both the server when transaction time is less than 60 sec. General transaction properties in Application servers > server1 > Transaction service are identical on both the server instance. I believe its not a coding issue and in that case its something http://stackoverflow.com/questions/26184122/500-internal-server-error-after-60-sec-of-transaction-on-was related to server settings. http websphere-7 share|improve this question edited Oct 3 '14 at 18:06 AlvaroAV 4,00072659 asked Oct 3 '14 at 17:52 Jenson 58112 Add full stack trace, it is too little info to tell something more than to double check Transaction service settings. –Gas Oct 3 '14 at 18:28 There is actually no error message at the server side. After 60 sec of transaction server returns status 500 to browser. I believe it is related to ServerIOTimeout property in the IHS Plugin component. –Jenson Oct 3 '14 at 20:00 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 2 down vote accepted Yes, you are correct. Look at the definition from documentation: The ServerIOTimeout specifies whether there is a time limit for how long the plug-in waits to send a request to or receive a response from the application server. The default value for v7 for this parameter is 60 seconds, which is too low for your application. You have to change it. You can just edit it in plugin-cfg.xml (see details in the first link). However if you often regenerate your it, it will be better to change it in the server configuration ( Servers > Server Types > WebSphere application servers > server_name, and then, in the Additional Properties section, click Web serve

However it works fine when i change the port. I checked up if SSL is enabled , It is not. What is the problem?? Any guesses welcome. ------------------ Mahindrakar IBM Application Server Forum Moderator SCJP daman sidhu Ranch Hand Posts: 184 posted 15 years ago Hi Rahul, What u can do is check if u have put the ServerName 500 internal attrribute in that httpd.conf file, mostly the error is because of some misspelled words in that file, but ill tell u an excellent way to debug if u are having problems with the httpserver and cant find where ther error is, go from command prompt to the ibm httpserver folder ie the folder where ur httpserver is installed , there go to bin folder and type apache( first do make sure ur 500 internal server server is stopped) , it will try to start the server from command prompt, and if there is any error in the httpd.conf file it will tell u there and then itself which line the error is in.Hope this will help all the guys and u . Cheers, Daman Rahul Mahindrakar Ranch Hand Posts: 1869 posted 15 years ago Daman, As i stated above my Http Server works fine on other ports but not on port 80. It starts fine whether you start from the services or from the command prompt. But it gives the above error when you start it on port 80. The last time this happened i reinstalled WAS. But it is happening regularly these days so i decided not to reinstall and to find out the problem. ------------------ Mahindrakar IBM Application Server Forum Moderator SCJP Rahul Mahindrakar Ranch Hand Posts: 1869 posted 15 years ago My Error log file states this [Mon Nov 01 13:43:09 1999] [error] [client 39.0.254.223] Client sent malformed Host header daman sidhu Ranch Hand Posts: 184 posted 15 years ago Is it possible that port 80 is in use by some other application or service on your PC?
