Forums Answered by: SQL 2008 R2 - constantly crashing! application error 1000 internet explorer 11 SQL Server > SQL Server Database Engine Question 1 Sign in to vote Hello excel application error 1000 all, SQL Server 2008R2 - build - 10.50.1734.0 I'm having a real issue with our SQL 2008 R2 server. The MSSQLSERVER service keeps crashing https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/15f38662-1a83-41fc-ad87-a0380f4c953b/application-error-1000-in-event-log-on-windows-server-2008-r2?forum=windowsserver2008r2management on our Windows 2008 R2 server. I have set the service to restart after a failure, so the service comes back up after a few seconds. However, it tends to happen for a period of a few hours, between 10AM - 1PM every working day - so I https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/sqlserver/en-US/9f35a025-7cc2-43ac-b5e8-a60245bbe02e/sql-2008-r2-constantly-crashing?forum=sqldatabaseengine will receive about 50 crashes and restarts. I have pasted the error message from the Windows logs below. All that the SQL server logs tell me is the following - "[012] The MSSQLSERVER service terminated unexpectedly " I have applied the latest cumulutive hotfix 3, but this didn't make the issue go away. It was this fix/file > SQLServer2008R2_RTM_CU3_2261464_10_50_1734_x64 (I see that there are other CU3 fixes for 2008R2, but I haven't applied them as I didn't know if they applied to my system or not, is this ok?) http://support.microsoft.com/hotfix/KBHotfix.aspx?kbnum=2261464&kbln=en-us#step2 I don't know what further information I can provide. Is there anything else I can do to interrogate the issue, 3rd party loging products? Does anyone have any idea what is going on?
