Terminal Service constantly crashing Started by Tim Waring , 06 October 2010 - 09:49 PM Login to Reply 13 replies to this topic Tim Waring Members #1 Tim Waring 252 posts

Posted 06 October 2010 - 09:49 PM I have been having issues in the past few days on our XenApp 6 server where Terminal Service has crashed, requiring a server restart to fix. I dont remember this happening at all in the past, only in the past week. The only thing different on the server is that I installed the hotfixes that were available. This is a critical issue, as constant server crashes dont look good on us. Has anyone else had any issues after installing any patches, are these incidents related? Or is it something else from peoples experience.More details about the crash: it does not seem to be a typical crash, the server still reports things that happen in the event log after the crash of Terminal service, but it will not bring up the login screen on the console to shut it down gracefully.Log Name: ApplicationSource: Application ErrorDate: 6/10/2010 9:14:51

Error does not occur on all servers, just some. All have the latest windows update patches applied from Microsoft. Server uptimes vary from 3 days to 23 days, depending on when I installed rollup r05. Rebooting gets the server back online but eventually it crashes again. Once the crash happens, the citrix management console shows 0 users, and users on the server are unable to launch applications. We are not able to remote desktop into the server after a cras

I have purchased remote desktop client licenses, and installed them to the remote desktop license server on the same server. The licenses are all installed what looks to be properly, and it says that I have 30 licenses available and 0 in use.
