I have a bootable ISO file with a bootable DOS version of Symantec Ghost 11.0.2 I and the image file itself. I mounted https://askmike.org/2010/10/ghosts-application-error-27076-while-mounting-iso-file-2/ this ISO file directly to the virtual machine as if I put a CD in the virtual tray. A simple solution is to burn the ISO to a CD or DVD or to copy the ISO file to a partition formattedFAT. Posted at October 27, 2010, under sysadmin. « Full blog contact me

This error could be caused by a couple different things, such as network connectivity errors or simply a bad image. Are you imaging across a network? If you hit Abort when the error comes up, you should get another error code, what is that one? share|improve this answer answered Dec 15 '09 at 14:10 DanBig 10.6k12048 the image should be fine I have used it before there can't be connectivity problems since it has to be connected to use the ghost the error that comes up is the one I wrote above –yaar zeigerman Dec 15 '09 at 14:31 add a comment| up vote 0 down vote Symnantec offers a few thoughts here. I have had images appear corrupted due to a drive issue so well worth checking. Howwever, the image may just be corrupt due to another issue and you need to re-image. When the image file is corrupted, it cannot be repaired. Ghost does not include any features for repairing corrupted image files. You must create a new image file instead.
