Application Error Event Id 1000 Explorer.exe
Forum Posts Junior Member Posts : 92 W.8.1 Pro Update 1 Explorer.exe Event ID:1000 I've installed a fresh copy of W8/W8.1 on three systems and have resolved all the usual Event Log Errors that have been identified on this Forum. However, I have a new problem on the third system that I need help identifying a solution. The system is a Q9550 processor running on a GA-EP45-UD3P MB with 8GB of Mushkin C5 Ram and an OCZ SSD for a boot drive. For some reason the system has started to boot up OK and then after ~10 seconds the screen goes Blue and then the W8.1 screen rebuilds and all is well. I assume that the blue screen event is related to the Explorer.exe error?! Other than the event log entry and the initial blue screen the system works OK. I have included screen prints of the Event Log. Hopefully, someone can give me a hint on what the heck is going on that causes this problem. Per your instructions I ran "DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth" and it said it fixed something. I looked at the Dism.log file and it was unreadable. I rebooted the system and got all the same stuff - W8.1 seems to start up OK and then ~10 seconds later a blank blue screen appears and then W8.1 repaints the
