Because of the customErrors mode , all I see is the default "Runtime error" message, instructing me to turn off customErrors to view more about the error. Exasperated, I've set my web.config to looks like this:

In this article I will talk about customizing the default error page, manipulating the configuration file and sending notification to the administrator about errors. Introduction Structured exception handling is a fundamental part of the CLR and provides .NET programmers with a great way of managing errors. In addition to the CLR exception system, ASP.NET also provides ways of handling errors. When a runtime or design-time error occurs in an application, ASP.NET shows a default error page that gives a brief description of the error along with the line number on which the error occurred.
