I have attached a .jpg file to my project. It is a scan of a plan. I am drawing over it. When I attempt to plot it, I briefly see the message "Attempting to http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?44727-quot-Attempting-to-Cancel-quot Cancel". The sheet then comes out of the printer blank. Same thing happens if I try to print as a .pdf, a blank .pdf is produced. I just did this same thing a month or so ago and it worked fine. Nothing has changed as far as hardware or software since then. Any thoughts? The problem we had was not enough memory at the printer end. Does it print OK with smaller files? When I try to plot the layouts, I do a print preview and http://through-the-interface.typepad.com/through_the_interface/plotting/ it all looks right, on plotting only the title block and anything else I have put in paperspace actually plots. It only appears to be in some drawings, and seems to be when I have the view set on autocad error 3D hidden. (This one is rescued from an autosave location which may be relevant.) I would assume that it is one of the settings has changed but I dont know which. Thanks Bruce Reply With Quote 12-08-2009,06:21 AM #2 bruce13 View Profile View Forum Posts Junior Member Join Date Aug 2009 Location Perth, Australia Posts 15 I have just closed down Autocad, restarted and all seems to work. I still would like to know what changed, now autocad error attempting it is really bugging me Bruce Reply With Quote 14-08-2009,03:06 AM #3 bruce13 View Profile View Forum Posts Junior Member Join Date Aug 2009 Location Perth, Australia Posts 15 I have just tried to print from another drawing in model space and the same thing happened. With the model either in 3D hidden or conceptual visual style and plotter options Shade plot set to As Displayed the printer printed a blank sheet of paper. There was a brief flashed message something about attempting to cancel.... sorry that's all I could read. I then I set the visual style to 2D wire frame and the Shade plot option to Hidden and it printed fine. Hope this helps Bruce Reply With Quote « Extrude 3d with bosses | changing backround » Posting Permissions You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts BB code is On Smilies are On [IMG] code is On [VIDEO] code is On HTML code is Off Forum Rules Contact Us CAD Everything Archive CAD Videos Top All times are GMT. an AutoCAD layout with custom plot and viewport settings using .NET This request from Thomas Longnecker languished in my inbox for several weeks before I finally found the time to work on it. It would be tremendously helpful to me if you could give an explanatory example of how to: Create a new layout, add a page-setup with plot-settings and then either delete the default viewport and create a new one or possible change the default viewport. […] Within the newly created layouts I needed to set some of the general Plot setting, mainly Paper size and Plot style table. Some of the main things for the viewport was to... Gaetan Bussy, the Lab manager, spent some time talking to me about some projects they have in the pipeline, one of which is to hack their Ultimaker to make it work with polar rather than (and eventually in addition to) Cartesian coordinates. Gaetan also showed me the latest addition to the Lab’s equipment, a B9Creator they received after backing its Kickstarter project. The project was successfully funded (and then some) a year ago, so I was quite... Here’s an excerpt from the ReadMe (which I happen to have written, but anyway): This plugin can be used with AutoCAD to simplify the process of publishing sets of drawings to DWF and/or PDF. It runs as a command within AutoCAD – as opposed to a separate executable – and uses a separate executable to monitor AutoCAD's health and restart it, as needed. The status of the
