I had help on this before and now after some computer work, it's doing it again. I have Windows XP Pro. My saved text info said that after installing "SP1 (k030ltss1_k044_aclt_unl) and Gedit3 (acltk044_k047unl) patches in compatability mode - it works and doesn't have to be in compatability mode anymore". 1> First, I don't remember running two patches. 2> I am now into SP3 on this machine and that info started off with "SP1. Does it make any difference to be in SP3? 3> How do I run Acad in compatability mode and, if necessary, how do I get back into SP1? 4> When trying that k047 file again I got an error "Not a valid Win32 application". That stopped me dead! How can I fix that? An address note in that file was: "http://forums.autodesk.com/autodesk/attachments/autodesk/43/92360/1/acltk044-k047unl.EXE' I presume that is where I download the k047 (is it a Win32?) .... Many thanks in advance for your help!! Got Gedit 3 error crash AGAIN ! My Acad LT 2002 HAS to be fixed ! Acad LT 2002? might just be simpler to download and install Draftsight. I'd venture to bet that it's got more functionality, and the price (free to download and use for any purpose) is nice too. Last edited by cadtag; 2013-01-14 at 08:08 PM. it showed up, and Autodesk never provided a permanent fix: some users had some luck turning off video card hardware acceleration but most of us never really found a fix. It was often, but not exclusively triggered by a Pan or Zoom function.LT2004 required the Service Patch to be installed to remove the symptom/cause noted above. If you have done this or are using a version of LT higher than 2004 and you still get this problem, so far it's been solely attributed to http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?145629-HELP-!!-Got-Gedit-3-error-crash-AGAIN-!-My-Acad-LT-2002-HAS-to-be-fixed-! a conflict on your PC with another software package, and often requires that software package to be removed or updated.Current solutions can be found at these following links:Gedit3 Topic PageAutodesk SupportAutodesk DiscussionGoogle Search ◦ GEDIT or GEDIT 3 Error messages Posted by About Us at Saturday, September 08, 2007 Labels: TroubleShooting Newer Post Older Post Home Welcome to our Blog page About Us This Blog http://ltisacad.blogspot.com/2007/09/gedit-or-gedit-3-error-messages.html provides Autocad/LT tips, suggestions, ideas, news, information, and more aimed at all AutoCAD/LT end users interested in learning and mastering more of the sofware package we all use daily. at some point have run into the famous GEDIT 3 error and been very frustrated with it. That error occurs because of certain video card drivers and/or certain types of anti-virus software setups. http://blog.longbowsoftware.com/installing-autocad-lt-2002-on-windows-7-and-windows-8/ On Windows 10, Windows 7 and Windows 8, the GEDIT 3 error is even more http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?13818-problem-with-internal-error-gedit-3 prominent because of all the new security features that are inside of Windows 7 and 8. The good news is that it's totally possible to eradicate the GEDIT 3 error by follow the instructions below: Installing AutoCAD LT 2002 on Windows 10, Windows 7, Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 32bit or 64bit can be very easily defined in these short steps. autocad lt Obtain your copy of the Longbow Converter here Using Windows Explorer, copy your entire AutoCAD LT 2002 CD to your hard drive, to a folder path c:\Autodesk\acadlt2002 Start the Longbow Converter tool Select the 2nd tab "Old AutoCAD Installer Reviver" Pick the c:\Autodesk\acadlt2002 folder where you just copied the LT 2002 CD Click the "Run Old Installer" button. Read and understand all the prompts before pressing OK. Once the setup starts, stop and read the next step… In the setup program, autocad lt 2002 navigate through each setup dialog as normal, except when you get to the installation folder, **it's vitally important to make sure you install to c:\acadlt2002 (not Program Files (x86)\AutoCAD LT 2002 as usually prompted by default)** IMPORTANT NOTE: You may find that entering the path C:\acadlt2002 may not take (a bug in the AutoCAD 2002 installer). In that case, you will need to select the installation folder C:\Program Files (x86)\AutoCAD LT 2002 in step (5) below Do not reboot if prompted to do so Once installed Go back to the Converter tool Select the 3rd tab "Old AutoCAD Program Reviver" Pick the newly installed c:\acadlt2002 folder Click "Fix Old Program". Now run your AutoCAD LT 2002 and completely register as normal. Once registered, exit AutoCAD and continue to the next step. Next, download AutoCAD LT 2002 sp1 from here and save to c:\Autodesk\sp - do not install yet Next, download AutoCAD LT 2002 sp2 from here (or AutoCAD LT 2002 sp2 locked version from here) and save to c:\Autodesk\sp - do not install yet Go back into the Converter, select the 3rd tab, select the c:\Autodesk\sp folder and click Fix. Install the LT 2002 sp1 by running c:\Autodesk\sp\acad2002LTsp1.exe If you get a 114 error, you may already have an sp1 enabled product so try the next step Install the LT 2002 sp2 by running either the unlocked c:\Autodesk\sp\acltk044-k047unl.exe or the locked c:\Autodesk\sp\acltk044-k047swl.exe If you get a 114 error, read the Troubleshooti
