30, 2014 Messages: 11 Thanks Received: 0 Trophy Points: 4 I am trying to setup a new mac with time machine backup using freeness but keep getting the following error on my mac The backup disk image “/Volumes/Time/Anthony Lear’s iMac.sparsebundle” could not be created (error (null)). I can see the drive and can access it but time machine backups fail anyone able to help. Location: GA, USA Time Machine backups under OS X Yosemite to FreeNAS 9.3 do work, from personal experience--I have two Macs running Yosemite doing so. The odds are, then, that there's something in your configuration that isn't right. But you say it's "all set right", so I guess it's just magic or cosmic rays or something.
