This is an old game, but the morons at EA don't give a damn about so many people having this error. This fix is not something I can take credit for as I found it while searching for a solution. The problem occours when the game does not create *.ini files and a map folder. It takes a minute to fix, but the lazy punks on EA just don't seem to care. I got a "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION" error saying "the thread tried to read from or write to a virtual address for which it does not have the appropriate access. Access address 0x5f30325f was read from". i clicked ok and got a runtime error saying the application had asked to be terminated in an unusual way. How can i fix this? Plz help! I have never gotten this error before, and now every time I try to start up the game I cant, it stops and I recieve the message. This just started happening to me since I installed the newest ATI catalyst driver update. Since I thought it may have been a problem with the update, I rolled it back to the previous version where I had no problems. Here is a link to the error message, I took a SS of it. http://img86.exs.cx/img86/3673/exception5ke.jpg Thanks to ImageShack for Free Image Hosting Quote Decay View Public Profile Send a private message to Decay Find More Posts by Decay Angarah Feb 1st, 2005, 07:45 PM #3 Posts: 2,045 Join Date: Jan 2005 hmm doesnt really help me since i never updated anything since i got it..... anyone else know how to fix it?
