Dell Inspiron 15 to continuously beep when powered on?My grandmother's computer was beeping loudly when powered on. I didn't get how many times. The HDD wasn't listed in the BIOS.I tried a BIOS reset, adjusting the BIOS settings, etc. Nothing worked. Then I took it apart to see it the HDD was connected.I also resettled the RAM, and removed the BIOS battery. I powered the computer on, then off, and replaced the BIOS battery. Then I powered the computer back on. After which I turned it off again. Then I reassembled the laptop. Now when I turn it on, there's a constant beeping noise which sounds like an alarm clock buzzing (in frequency and tone) but it's really low in loudness and the BIOS is unresponsive to key presses. If I had to describe the sound, I would say it was a muffled electronic buzzer with constant short bursts. Not stopping, no number of beeps.UpdateCancelAnswer Wiki9 Answers Mark L.
