Now, on cold boot, I get a beep pattern (beep---beep-beep---beep-beep-beep---beep-beep-beep) that doesn't match anything I can find. The Gateway splash screen remains fro over a minute even if I press DEL or F12. Eventually, it either responds to beep codes the key press or I get "Starting Windows" and then a blank screen for maybe 1-11/2 minutes. Eventually, it boots to the Windows 7 log-in screen and then it works fine. MemTest86+ finds nothing wrong. SMART data on my boot SSD shoes no errors. I do not understand what is causing (a) the beeps, (b) the long delay before the BIOS is executed, and (c) the long gateway beep codes delay before the login screen appears. Hope someone can help.
