I've got XP with SP2 on. Jetway v400dbl board. AMD athlon 2500 processor and 512 meg of ddr ram. whenever an application popup happens... more often than not the pc speaker will beep and at the same time the screen goes blank then a reboot/reset occurs. I know its a pop as I see it for a split second dell beep codes before the screen goes blank. But it all happens too quick so I cannot read the info on the popup. The blank screen/reboot also happens when I use event viewer. If I click the up arrow to view the previous event, when I get to the top of the event list, a pop up will say "You've reached the beginning of the event log", now... more often than not, as the popup message is displayed, the screen goes blank and a reboot occurs. I've tried various graphic cards, unplugged everything except for the main drive and still no joy. Any thoughts anyone ? Posted on 2007-06-06 PCs 2 Verified Solutions 22 Comments 482 Views Last Modified: 2010-04-26 Hi friends, I have a PC with a Jetway V400DBL motherboard. A couple of years old now. It has a good spec and no other problems whatsoever except I had to replace the power supply a few months ago due to a failing fan. However, when the PC Speaker beeps the PC will reboot! I have used PC Check software to test the speaker and after 2-3 beeps the PC reboots. I've tried event log checking, System -> Advanced -> write error to log stuff, latest and stable hardware drivers, software is nice and tidy, fully tested all hardware fine. HWDoctor is monitoring temperatures, voltages, etc and everything is fine. Anyone know what this is and if its related to the motherboard, etc?
