I shut it down, removed the stick and restarted. I got the same thing. Since then i have tried gigabyte beep codes multiple sticks and combination of sticks and still get the beep code error. Try clearing CMOS by doing these steps in this order: 1. If there is a switch on your power supply unit (PSU), then turn it off. 2. Remove the 4/8 - pin CPU connector from the motherboard. 3. Remove the 20/24 - pin connector from the motherboard. 4. Remove the battery (a quarter sized lithium battery) from the motherboard. 5. Wait approximately 20 seconds, and then reinsert the battery. 6. Reinstall the 20/24 pin connector.
