are an AMD FX 6300 CPU, an MSI 970A-G43 motherboard and a Sapphire R 280 GPU. My motherboard doesn't appear to be POSTing. I don't see anything on the display, https://forum-en.msi.com/faq/article/bios-beep-codes but the motherboard doesn't make any error beeps through the installed speaker. I tried removing the RAM to force the beeps and still nothing. All fans spool up and case LEDs are lit. The optical drive can be only be opened for a couple seconds after powering on. The newbie things I have double checked are: All cables fully http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2385734/msi-970-motherboard-wont-post-error-beeps.html secured (including CPU and GPU power cables). The motherboard was installed on standoffs. Shorting should not be possible. The motherboard should not need a BIOS update. All components are firmly seated and went together smoothly. I don't see how I could have damaged the CPU etc. I'm using my Vizio HDTV as a monitor via HDMI if that is relevant. Any ideas? At this point I suspect a faulty motherboard. It just beeps, three times, and restart repeatedly but doesn't show anything on screen. I opened the case and found the model of the motherboard is MSI h61m-e23 (b3) The installed operating system is Windows 7, but it never reaches it anyway - it even doesn't show the Motherboard detail screen.
