The file is not an CD-ROM ISO per se, but actually a SquashFS filesystem. These updates appear to perform a fresh OS install, rather than applying incremental updates. In Recovery Mode, the system can install a boxee.iso file from a USB storage device. In this way, it may be possible to install a customized OS wrapped in a boxee.iso file. This version of the boxee.iso has an MD5 check sum of 610f2ee2021efb96f7f9a0b3107753da. At

Up Down Boxee Box bricked after update http://forums.boxee.tv – Hello everyone, After one of the updates in the beginning of last year my boxee displayed the red/red/red/green error whenever I turned it on. I left it there and then http://techlunchs.com/node/839/related_links (was distracted from it), and now I'm back to trying to fix it. I downloaded several http://www.fixya.com/support/t12020582-firmware_update_boxee_messed_up_device boxee versions and tried to downgrade, reset the settings, factory reset, and tried the following versions: 1.0.4.17443 - 1.2.0.20310 - 1.5.0.23615, I then tried to manually update to (1.5.1.23735), followed the same procedure, had error code 0x320 appear every time I try to do a factory reset, or down/upgrade to any version except 1.5.0.23615. It only says 'Update successful' when I remove boxee box power/hdmi cords from boxee and wait, on this version only! But when I try to run boxee normally, I get the same red/red/red/green error... I've looked in the FAQs, support, and google for the past 6 hours, read, and tried everything I laid my eyes on. I suppose it's hard to RMA since I paid more than 40% it's price on customs to get it in my country (Jordan), and I think I will pose more tax boxee box error problems if it's sent back (Unless there's an arrangement, which is unlikely I think). I emailed marcel of the boxee team, and all DLink branches around my country (none in it, and none of them sell the boxee box). No replies still, but I only did it about an hour ago.. Is my boxee box dead? Because I think it is.. If anyone here can help fix this I'd be very, very grateful. This is the worst problem the Boxee has and won't cost you much of anything in terms of time. The bad news? No bad news! The Boxee rules!Your first step is to download the most recent firmware update from the official Boxee website to your computer, saving it on your hard drive. Following that, insert a USB flash drive, copy the file, and power down your Boxee box while keeping it plugged in. Following that procedure, press and hold the power button for 10 seconds until the device turns on. You will then choose to enter Recovery Mode and select "Update From USB" in order to download the most recent version of the firmware. If that does not work, leave your device turned on, enter the "Settings" menu, select "System", and go to "Advanced". From there you will be able to clear the Media Info Database and resolve any issues you may be encountering with scanning problems. The final (and least desirable) fix is to enter back into "Recovery Mode" and perform a hard factory reset. To do this, you will select "Reset All Settings" and then select "Factory Reset". This will wipe your Boxee of all its data, forcing you to update the firmware via the USB flash dri
