Boxee Setup
1.5 TB seagate (ST31500341AS) drive setup in RAID config using X-RAID2. My switch is a NETGEAR ProSafe GS108T-200NAS set to default settings. I haven't had a chance to start messing with VLAN settings or anything else. There is a bit of a learning curve on my part. I also have a Boxee Box running the latest software/firmware. My library of music and movies are stored on my NAS. My movies load up in the Boxee library and my Boxee Box recognizes them with no problem. My problem starts when i start to play a movie and then after about 1 minute of play time, the movie errors out and i get sent back to the movie library screen. I ran a bunch of different movies and all acted the same way. Pretty darn annoying. BBox is connected to the NAS using samba. My NAS shows up as a samba drive when scanned under "File Sources" as smb://... in Boxee so i am sure of this.At the beginning I had uPnP activated under discovery services but i deactivated it but it still didn't work. I did notice that the connection to my NAS was stalled for about 30-60 seconds when i tried playing a movie and was looking at the different options under administrator settings on my laptop. DrivePool Boxee Box and DrivePool shares not working runewa November 2011 Member I'm having problems with my Boxee Box and
Boxee Box Apps
shares created within DrivePool. When browsing to these shares from my Boxee Box, I see the shares but they contain no files. If I manually share a folder on my WHS 2011, the shared folder is then displayed with all files https://community.netgear.com/t5/Using-your-ReadyNAS/Problem-Accessing-Files-from-Boxee-Box/td-p/759285 and everything worksOK.I get no error message from the Boxee Box, and there is no entry in the logs (at leastnone that I can see). I believe this started after the last few updates, everything was working fine up until a couple of weeks ago.I'm not sure where there problem lies (Boxee Box or Drivepool), but since shares created directly on the WHS 2011 works, and shares created using DrivePool does not, I'mleaningtowards DrivePool.Anyoneelseexperiencingsomethingsimilar? Is it possible to download a previous release of http://forum.covecube.com/discussion/305/boxee-box-and-drivepool-shares-not-working/p1 Drivepool? Thanks. Johre November 2011 Member I have a Boxee as well and it seems to work fine on my WHS2011 the latest version of drivepool. However i do find that even with the user info saved i have to manually re-enter it every now and then. runewa November 2011 Member Johre, I've seen the same thing happen to meoccasionally, the need to manually re-enter uid/pw info.Good to hear that everything else is working as it should for you, sadly that is not the case for me :) DrTone November 2011 Member Have you updated the Boxee to the latest firmware, they have been fixing SAMBA issues for quite some time an the latest again has more fixes. runewa November 2011 Member Yes, I've got the update from Oct. 24th (I believe it is). Did a manual scan for new updates last night, but found no new updates. Even ticked the box to accept beta releases, but nothing. Thanks for your input, though. Shane November 2011 Resident Guru Did the option in DrivePool to reset permissions on the shares have any effect? runewa November 2011 Member No, I'm afraid not. I've also tried adding a new user on the server andassignedreadprivilegesto the shares with no luck.I did a clean/fresh uninstall/install, but the problem is still there. I'll try reverting the Boxee Box back to factory settings tonight, maybe that'll do the trick. runewa November 2011 Member So, I did a factory reset, but with the same result.Ho

I get following error: Could not access file, directory or device.I used the automatic feature to connect and it says "cabled".Boxee boxee box Box can access the net, so at least the cabled network is working.
