I dont have one of those around but usually the corona wire cleaner is blue. I dont really like them becuase they dont do http://support.brother.com/g/b/faqend.aspx?c=us&lang=en&prod=hl2140_all&faqid=faq00000170_017 a good job. I usually use a damp Q-tip and alcohol. The toner level sensor port is on the right side of where the toner sits in the machine. For the error you described however you would need to check and clean the contacts for the drum on the left side of the inside of the machine. by nivek on Aug 24, 2009 at 7:09pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 but http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/posts/63546 if it's a drum life error then you either need to replace it and/or reset the counter.to reset the drum counter, open the fron cover, hold down the start button until all lights lit up. then release the button and shut the front cover. by tk55 on Aug 24, 2009 at 9:17pm Add comment Please sign in to comment I tried TK55's steps and it didn't work for me. Then I tried a variation and it did work. Here's what I did:(Essentially the cartridge/drum unit should not be in the printer when you reset it)1) Open front door2) Remove the cartridge/drum unit3) Hold down front button until all lights come on4) Put cartridge/drum unit back in5) Close the front doorThe Drum life should be reset.Hope this helps - unknown hello i just had this printer for 2 months , it first came with an factory toner which yield an 1,000 copies. I just bought a new generic toner, but still the same problemas for resetting the drum counter , i try that , it's doesn't work. PSS - I FORGOT TO MENTION THAT EVERY OTHER PAGE , THERE AN PAPER JAMMED TOO .THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR TIME /HELP - jbj168 0 if the printer has only done just over a 1000 pages, then it won't be a drum life error.whe

I finally found it took it out and put the toner/drum back in and and presto the printer error light went out. Exact problem.
