Having replaced the cartridge, the printer works, but Spiceworks still detects it as 'less than 2%.' It's not critical to the functions of the office, but it sends me half a dozen emails a day. Perhaps it just needs to update it's internal DB. Does the printer itself think it is that low on toner? 1 OP Aaron M (Spiceworks) Sep 6, 2012 at 3:55 UTC If the printer's admin inteface reports the correct amount, but Spiceworks doesn't, it may boil down to an issue with SNMP. SNMP is how Spiceworks collects toner information from printers. My experience with Brother printers is that some don't actually report a value, but rather something along the lines of "yes there's some toner" or "i'm out of toner."
