This issue happens for recurring meetings in the users calendar. CDO being the public interface for MAPI, Blackberry and Iphone uses it. The description is always the same referring to the same eml file: Calendaring agent failed in message save notification with error 0x80040219 on user1@company.com : /Calendar/Meeting.eml. There is also an Event ID 8260 Warning message stating that An attempt was made to save an appointment with the subject "Calendar Item" to mailbox User1@company.com. The duration http://forums.msexchange.org/Calendaring_agent_failed/m_1800506538/tm.htm of the appointment was too large, so it was not saved We have checked with the user and there is no entry named Meeting.eml in his mailbox. Any ideas on how to fix this? The user doesn't have a Blackberry or use ActiveSync - I was just wondering what was causing this problem and the best way to resolve? We need to find the meeting and then delete it. If it is a MAC client. We have a known issue. When Mac client accessing a recurring calendar appointment greater than two years in duration. Event 8199 and event 8260 will be logged. We need to delete the meetings. Have you tried to use MFCmapi.exe to open user mailbox and then to find the meetings there? If you find Event 8217 8263,then We can try the "/cleanviews" and "/cleanreminders" switches for the clients experiencing the problem and then delete the calendar. Also we can try to disable all the add-ins for outlook. Besides, please try to run ExBPA to have a health scan and then post the report here. How many exchange server in your network? Please try to check the version of EXCDO.DLL, CDO.DLL and then post here. More related information to share with you: You cannot disable the "No end date" option for appointments, meeting requests, tasks, or task requests in Outlook 2003 http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;952144 Regards, Xiu Marked as answer by Xiu Zhang Friday, September 18, 2009 9:50 AM Tuesday, September 15, 2009 6:57 AM Reply | Quote All replies 0 Sign in to vote
by Anthony Ho » Fri, 01 Dec 2006 11:17:09 We have an SBS 2003 server.. This error has started appearing in the logs along with a few other http://www.yqcomputer.com/1015_74133_1.htm gremlins. The particular calendar item no longer exists - but this error seems to persist every evening. I went to the registry key in question as per the KB 310440 article and http://www.eventid.net/display-eventid-8199-source-EXCDO-eventno-1104-phase-1.htm saw the following value.. /o=OURORGANISATION/ou=first administrative group/cn=Configuration/cn=Servers/cn=OURSERVER/cn=Microsoft System Attendant Now, I've looked in ADSIEdit as well as the normal AD snapin and can't find a group called "first administrative group". We did calendaring agent about a month ago or so have an issue where someone had changed the name of some OUs etc. in such a way that broke the standard SBS add new user wizards etc., and the documentation I'd found had said to reinstall the SBS administration tools. Now the SBS add user function works, but it adds users, groups, etc. to the OU=MyBusiness instead of OU=OURORGANISATION. calendaring agent failed 310440 says that "ou" should be our administrative group, but I'm not sure what that is.. Is it the Domain Administrators group on an SBS box? Also, how can I get SBS adding users, sec and distrib groups to the right OU? Top 1. EXCDO Event ID 8199 - Calendaring agent failed in message save notification with error 0x8007000e 2. Calendaring agent failed in message delete notification We have a user who previously synchronised his calendar with a psion and has many messages that had reminders on that he now can't delete using Outlook (gets error) but he keeps on being reminded that they are late. The psion has been thrown away so how can I delete these messages? Assuming we back up his calendar can we reinitialise it? Would a mailbox move help?
