Sorry for the long post, but I'll try to get as much info out in one burst as I can. I am having issues with my Exchange 2007 calendar agent. At random https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/301234 points in time it starts to spew DCOM 10010 and EXCDO 8206 errors. Calendars are unusable at this time, and if they are usable any new appointments or changes are not saved. This is usually accompanied by extremely slow or no mail client access from Outlook 2003 and 2002. OWA client mail access seems unaffected, but calendars are hosed there also. Sometimes this condition is preceeded by a spontaneous reboot. These seem to occur at the start of http://forums.msexchange.org/Repeated_Exchange_Calendar_Agent_failure/m_1800493660/tm.htm Exchange database maintenance, which is set for midnight. This is not always the case. Sometimes it is a different time, and sometimes there is no reboot - just a DCOM error followed by EXCDO spam. Backups are not scheduled during maintenance, and nothing else I can find indicates anything is going on at that time. There are no helpful or suspicousevents previous to the start of this condition in any of the event logs. DCOM 10010: The server {9DA0E106-86CE-11D1-8699-00C04FB98036} did not register with DCOM within the required timeout. This guid in Component Services has no name beyond the guid, and lists MSEXCHANGIS as the service. EXCDO 8206: Calendaring agent failed with error code 0x8000ffff while saving appointment. This is the typical 8206 error. The fix for this is to re-run one of the update rollups, which seems to repair the DCOM object. In time, the condition will come back. Sometimes in less than 24 hours. I was using update rollup 4, but a PSS tech recommended not using these rollups (3 and 4 specifically)so I scaled back to rollup 1. I attempted to reinstall Exchange SP1, but the setup /mode:recoverserver option does not do anything, and the setup GUI does not allow for a reinstall. I am getting pretty desperate, and PSS will not support my server due to its VMWare environment. Th

If the user is a delegate, the access rights to the mailbox might not be set up correctly. Otherwise, the calendar for this mailbox could be corrupted. This could be fixed by moving the mailbox to another Exchange server, or exporting the calendar to a Personal Folder File (.PST), and re-importing this into a new calendar Does anyone know what the problem is? 0 Question by:Educad Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 13 Best Solution byAlexios Hello Check this Microsoft article might help you http://www.microsoft.com/technet/support/ee/transform.aspx?ProdName=Exchange&ProdVer=6.5.7638.0&EvtID=8230&EvtSrc=EXCDO Go to Solution 1 Comment LVL 13 Overall: Level 13 Outlook 6 Exchange 3 Message Accepted Solution by:Alexios2014-04-09 Hello Check this Microsoft article might help you http://www.microsoft.com/technet/support/ee/transform.aspx?ProdName=Exchange&ProdVer=6.5.7638.0&EvtID=8230&EvtSrc=EXCDO 0 Write Comment First Name Please enter a first name Last Name Please enter a last name Email We will never share this with anyone.
