Sorry for the long post, but I'll try to get as much info out in one burst as I calendaring agent can. I am having issues with my Exchange 2007 calendar agent. At random points in time it starts to spew DCOM 10010 and EXCDO 8206 errors. Calendars are unusable at this time, and if they are usable any new appointments or changes are not saved. This is usually accompanied by extremely slow or no mail client access from Outlook 2003 and 2002. OWA client mail access seems unaffected, but calendars calendaring agent failed are hosed there also. Sometimes this condition is preceeded by a spontaneous reboot. These seem to occur at the start of Exchange database maintenance, which is set for midnight. This is not always the case. Sometimes it is a different time, and sometimes there is no reboot - just a DCOM error followed by EXCDO spam. Backups are not scheduled during maintenance, and nothing else I can find indicates anything is going on at that time. There are no helpful or suspicousevents previous to the start of this condition in any of the event logs. DCOM 10010: The server {9DA0E106-86CE-11D1-8699-00C04FB98036} did not register with DCOM within the required timeout. This guid in Component Services has no name beyond the guid, and lists MSEXCHANGIS as the service. EXCDO 8206: Calendaring agent failed with error code 0x8000ffff while saving appointment. This is the typical 8206 error. The fix for this is to re-run one of the update rollups, which seems to repair the DCOM object. In time, the condition will come back. Sometimes in less than 24 hours. I was using update rollup 4, but a PSS tech recommended not using these rollups (3 and 4 specifically)so I scaled back to rollup 1. I attempted to reinstal
