When I click the power button, the HP screen comes up and takes me to a blck screen that says: Samsung HD501LJ Hard disk failure is imminent. Please back up your hard disk and have it replaced. It then gives me the option to hit f10 or f2. I did an extended test and it gives me the error failed. Ran an Intel scan and it gave me the error message BIOHD-5 failed. HP support sucks so hard. I'm left here clueless. Any help would be appreciated. Disk read error? :l So on the first day of this 'wonderful' new year, my PC decided to suicide. At first I thought only my hard drive burned out + there was a 'BIOHD-3' Error, (It actually did burn out) so I went and bought a new one. My uncle fixed the error after like 10 hours of trying things, it started working, I sleep, wake up, turn on my PC to check if it really works again. Guess what, it doesn't. I ran diagnostics to see what the problem is this time, passed CPU, Memory and the first 2 Drives? Then it said > Testing Boot Path - Error Code : BIOHD-5, Please contact HP Support. Whenever I try to start it up it goes all black and says "A disk read error occurred, Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart." I restarted atleast 20 times but it doesn't help. Does anyone here know anything about this BIOHD-3 Error? Or how to fix it? Any ideas could help >: Since I'm clueless myself. __________________ ~ The loveliest rose can hide the cruelest thorn I love you ♥ [Goodbye Trickster Project] | [Caballa Island Maps] Last edited by Valese; 01-04-2011 at 07:31 AM. I don't know what this error means as it's HP only and not a general error. It's probably best to contact HP. __________________ +Rep me if u think i be ballin, u no wat i sayin?
