This reset could be generated locally by the network system when it detects a connection failure, or it might be received from the remote host. One of the most common problems is that windows remote desktop only allows one connection at a time to any given machine if it's not a windows server variant. That error probably means you at least got through to the machine, but can no longer connect. Try ma

one Aluminum iMac, it fails every time I try to run it. The black connection window connection reset by peer remote desktop mac appears momentarily and disappears. The console shows two entries from it on each crash. One says, "ERROR: recv: Connection reset by peer." The other says, rdesktop connection reset by peer windows 10 "ERROR: send: No such file or directory." I get the same behavior in CoRD 0.4.3 (197) and 0.5.0-svn (213). Version 5 also puts two entries in the Console log saying, "Not bothering to animate."I have tried using both over wireless and https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1040048 using the wired connection. It doesn't matter if the connection is started from a saved connection or from a quick connect. It doesn't matter it it is a saved user or the guest account. It works on this machine if I boot from my Macbook Pro in target disk mode, but it never works from its own hard drive. This machine has been entirely rebuilt since the problem started. An unrelated problem caused the logic board, screen, and video card to be replaced. https://discussions.apple.com/thread/1512348?tstart=0 I thought the problem might be related, so when it continued to have the problem, I took it back to the Apple Store. They replaced the memory, hard drive, and optical drive. The only original parts now are the case, front bezel, glass, and power supply. This problem started the first week of April, 2008. It began by saying there was a licensing problem. There is no actual licensing problem, but several machines running CoRD do report this. On my personal machine, it is currently at 0 days remaining on the temporary license, but it still works fine. On the iMac, when it got to 0 days, it refused to connect again and started behaving like this. Both version 1 and version 2 beta 3 of the Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection programs fail to work on this machine too. Version 2 says there was a problem with the licensing protocol. Version 1 says the connection was ended because of a network error. I have only tried using the Microsoft programs with wireless. Neither put anything in the logs when they fail. This was crossposted to the CoRD bug report page. were timing out within five minutes. I'd get an error like this:Autoselected keyboard map en-usERROR: recv: http://www.techanswerguy.com/2011/04/rdp-error-recv-connection-reset-by-peer.html Connection reset by peerThe Terminal Services Configuation on the destination server https://github.com/dorianj/CoRD/issues/71 were set to timeout after an hour. So something was definetly amiss. Even more weird, when I exited GNOME and logged onto Enlightenment, the problem went away. So that meant the problem was with my window environment. Reading up here:http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=398447To fix the problem, one guy had connection reset to change his keyboard in GNOME:I changed my keyboard from Unknown to Microsoft Natural Keyboard Pro, restarted GNOME and voila..problem gone!I love it when a plan comes together!TAG Posted by Cacasodo at 12:19 PM Labels: enlightenment, gnome, keyboard, remote desktop If you appreciated this answer..consider buying me a beer via PayPal!I'm easy..$1 Draft would be great! Collaborator peelman commented Jul 16, 2015 The message you posted is a warning. nothing more. Odds are you don't have "allow connections from insecure clients" turned on and the server is rejecting your attempts to connect insecurely. CoRD will probably never support secure connections. peelman closed this Jul 16, 2015 chadsaun commented Jul 16, 2015 Where is that setting found? thomasbiddle commented Feb 1, 2016 @chadsaun System Properties - Uncheck the last box with Network Level
