toolbar to access the Error Log. The number of errors for the current debugging context is conveniently displayed in the icon itself. Filter To search through all errors on a page, use the Filter control on the Error Log toolbar. Tabs By default, the All tab will be selected, showing every type of error for the current page. Depending on the types of error encountered on a page, more specific tabs will be displayed in addition to All. Errors can be filtered by choosing a more specific tab, for example the CSS tab. Error messages can be opened one by one by clicking on them, or globally by clicking the Expand All icon in the Error Log toolbar. Error types There are two error types displayed in the Error Log: Error: An example would be a syntax error or an uncaught exception. Information: This provides information, such as for an unknown property or value. In the All tab view, each error is represented by its resource type icon whereas in more specific error tabs its icon represents the error type. For CSS and JavaScript errors, clicking on the URL of the file in the expanded view will open the style sheet or script as a new tab in the Resource Inspector. CSS Filters Custom CSS filters can be defined in the Error Log settings tab to remove certain types of errors from the All and CSS tabs of the Error Log. Comma-separated filters will be matched and ignored. For example, a filter such as _padding will force the Error log to ignore the IE6 underscore hack for padding properties. Clearing the Error

and toolsBusinessPartner with OperaComputer Mobile Tablet OverviewDocumentationBlogFeedback Opera Dragonfly documentation Network Inspector The Network Inspector is Opera Dragonfly’s HTTP dashboard. It provides an overview of all HTTP requests – for resources such as images, scripts, and stylesheets – initiated by the primary webpage (primary HTTP request). Network log The first tab of the Network Inspector is the Network log. HTTP requests can be displayed as either a waterfall graph – a timeline listing all requests in the order in which they were sent – or as a tabular data grid. The data view table can be reordered by clicking on the various column headers. The type of columns that are displayed can be customised http://www.opera.com/dragonfly/documentation/errorlog/ through the grid's context menu, and reset back to the default set of Method, Status, MIME, Size, Waiting, Duration and Graph. The network log can be cleared – removing any existing entries showing up in the log – and updating of the log can be paused. The latter is particularly useful if you're interested in analysing the initial page-load of a document that also fires XHR requests after all primary content http://www.opera.com/dragonfly/documentation/network/ has been loaded. In both grid and data view each requested URI is preceded by an icon, which provides a visual cue about the type of resource that was requested: Table of file types and related icons audio (wav, ogg, …) data feed flash font (ttf, woff) image (png, webp, jpg, gif, …) markup (HTML, XHTML, …) plugin script (JavaScript, …) style (CSS) text vector (SVG) video (ogv, webm, …) By default, requests for all types of resources are shown in the log. The type filter lets you narrow down the view to certain types of Resources – Markup, Stylesheets, Scripts, Images, Other file types, or any requests made via an XMLHttpRequest. The type filters can be combined (for instance, to just show Markup and Stylesheets) by toggling the relevant buttons with CTRL / CMD + click. To get the most precise information for network activity, it's possible to further improve the log's timing accuracy by disabling all other debugging services and placing Opera Dragonfly into HTTP profiler mode. When switching back to any of Opera Dragonfly's other tools, you will first need to re-enable these services, which may require reloading the current document. The Network log's search functionality works across all URIs listed in the log, as we

a lot with Opera is the fact that the error console pops up when errors occur on a web page. This is great and all http://leo.steamr.com/2012/01/disable-opera-error-console/ if you're trying to debug your own website, however not so much when I'm trying to find a solution to a compile error at 3 in the morning. As of this writing, Opera 11.51 is the latest version. I can't guarantee this will work for later versions. In order to disable this window from popping up, go to opera:config and search for "Error Console console error Filter". You should see something similar to: Clear the field such that the filter is empty, and then click on ‘Save'. Presto! The error console shall bug you no more. On the left side of the advance page ,click "content" then click the "java script options" bar/button at the middle right side of that window…. after that another pop up window will appear. So just uncheck the "open console on error" box and that should take care of the error console pop up window. Then that site didn't work anymore… After I reverted that setting to it's original value -console started showing it's error data and kept bugging me. I just wanted to kill that console as I don't have any use for it's information anyhow. At first I found this forum when searching so
