Posted on 2003-02-04 Windows 2000 1 Verified Solution 7 Comments 1,884 Views Last Modified: 2007-12-19 hi, I have 20GB partition (FAT32) and i https://forums.techguy.org/threads/crc-error-in-data-45.290851/ want to resize it to 18GB to have additional 2GB parition. When i set things up and press apply, it starts moving data and just after couple of minutes while "clearing truncated partition" i got "Error #45 - CRC error in data". Then it restarts computer and i can't even see the partition (i have to assign it a drive letter in PM to make it visible again). The documentation https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/20497008/Partition-Magic-8-Error-45-bad-sectors.html says that error #45 is about bad sectors. I tried running Norton DiskDoctor and 'chkdsk /r'. chkdsk says i have 176KB of bad sectors, but neither of them finds any new errors on partition. and i still can't resize my partition :( please help thanx, peter 0 Question by:x-pander Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 41 Best Solution bystevenlewis Click if this solves your problem!
