For example: echo(gzdeflate('test')); outputs +I-. But when I try to echo(gzinflate('+I-.')); it only outputs Warning: gzinflate() [function.gzinflate]: data error Is there something I'm missing? Why is it outputting this error rather than test? php share|improve this question asked Jun 2 '10 at 9:51 Rob 2,375154890 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2956527/gzinflate-erroring oldest votes up vote 4 down vote accepted The output of $s = gzdeflate('test'); for ($i=0; $i Hacks » [Resolved] Getting a gzinflate(): data https://wordpress.org/support/topic/getting-a-gzinflate-data-error/ error [Resolved] Getting a gzinflate(): data error Nico Ryan @pilotnick 6 months, 2 weeks ago Hi, The Sendgrid plugin https://github.com/YahnisElsts/plugin-update-checker/issues/27 is network activated and is generating a gzinflate(): data error. I also opened a support ticket on your website over a week ago and have still heard nothing back. Marcio Marim @marciomarim 6 months, 1 week ago Yes, me too. I was also having 1-2 seconds of delay because of hhtp requests happening on all my admin pages. So I recently uninstalled the plugin and installed WP Sendgrid. Nico Ryan @pilotnick 6 months, 1 week ago Hey SendGrid! Seriously! Are you not going to respond to this error at all? Just wanted you to know - if it is not related, please close this issue. thx, Robert Owner YahnisElsts commented Jan 16, 2015 I haven't encountered that error myself, but based on the discussion in the ticket you mentioned, it sounds like it's caused by an obscure bug in the WordPress core. The error occurs deep inside the HTTP API. It's probably not related to the update checker as such. I guess you might be able to work around it by turning off gzip encoding on the server that host update metadata. Sign up for free to join this conversation on GitHub. Already have an account?
