Checking everything was alright I went to Central Admin and the BCS service https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/f18cfafb-51b6-4f5e-9c05-147884136cbd/an-internal-database-error-occurred-in-the-business-data-connectivity-shared-service-sql-error?forum=sharepointadmin failed with a standard "An error has occurred and a correlation id". Checking the event logs (ULS) via the ULSViewer I got the following error message: Application error when access /_admin/BDC/ViewBDCApplication.aspx, Error=An internal database error occurred in the Business Data Connectivity Shared Service. We had just applied the December 2014 CU for SharePoint and checking the FIM logs that's when the problem occurred. So I checked the permissions on the BCS Database. The Account the BCS Service runs under was listed but with no database role memberships at all. I gave it SPDataAccess and it all sprang back into life. We have added this as something to check after each CU now. Cheers Sebastian Share this:TwitterFacebookLike this:Like Loading... This is how I fixed it. 01. Take a System Restore. 02. Use Add/Remove programs to remove Intel(R) PROSet/Wireless Software. 03. Rename C:\Program Files\Intel to C:\Program Files\Intel-Old. 04. Reinstall the software. I downloaded the latest version, 11.1.1.11. 05. Reboot when asked to. Now, everything works. Share this post Link to post bchesley 0 Member 0 1 post Posted December 22, 2013 Started having this problem as well after a recent Evernote update. My macbook is running OSX Mavericks. There is a tech note on resolving this that suggests moving the application support folder to the desktop but it does not resolve the problem - attempting to launch evernote again just makes a new support directory and the same error is displayed. Share this post Link to post dragonet 0 Member 0 4 posts Posted December 23, 2013 The most disappointing is that Evernote doesn't have the official solution on this issue till now.And they don't respect end users' feedback.
