In an attempt to improve query performance of following query select cast(timestamp as timestamp)ts,timestamp from testSchema.testTable where timestamp > cast('2008-06-04-18.13.55.936000' as timestamp) order by ts http://stackoverflow.com/questions/31171337/com-ibm-db2-jcc-am-jo-db2-sql-error-sqlcode-104-sqlstate-42601-sqlerrmc fetch first 5000 rows only I created an index for the table, which contains millions of records using the following command. CREATE INDEX index_ts ON testSchema.testTable(timestamp ASC) Initially the time taken to execute the query was less in milliseconds, but it kept on increasing to a no. of seconds with time which degraded the performance of my code. Can anyone please suggest some solution https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/community/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=209823 to optimize create index or an alternate way to increase the performance of this query. Its very URGENT. Thanks in advance, Ruchika SystemAdmin 110000D4XK 17917 Posts Re: Problem with create index to improve query performance. 2008-06-17T06:52:07Z This is the accepted answer.
