I recently upgraded http://steamcommunity.com/app/17470/discussions/0/846943514107577427/ to windows 8, and ever since then I haven't been able to run the game. Dead Space 2 works fine when I start it up. Part of me thinks that the problem is deeper then just the operating system however, simply due to the error message itself. Heres the computer I'm using- it deffinetly used to work before.Dell xps 8300i7 quad core 2600 cpu 3.4 ghz12gigs ramAMD Radeon HD 6770 GraphicsWindows 8 pro edition I don't think any other specs will be necisary for this issue. Thanks so much for the help, it seems like all the relevant information is coming up for DS2, which again works fine for me. you start the game you'll likely get an Error popup with the following message: Could not initialize display hardware. Please restart Dead Space This issue is http://www.thegameengine.org/dead-space/ often caused by having an unsupported resolution for your system/monitor configuration. There are a few possible solutions to this issue that you can try below (ordered by success rate): Manually edit your http://www.gamespot.com/forums/pc-mac-linux-society-1000004/dead-space-problems-26649894/ resolution in settings.txt. The specific properties you want to edit are: Window.Height = 1080 Window.Width = 1920 I would recommend you try a very small resolution to start e.g. Window.Height = 480 dead space Window.Width = 640 Your settings.txt file will be located in: C:\Users\

Everytime I try to install the game, I get multiple errors regarding audiofiles. Although I can ignore these, there are way too many(At least 30). It took 5 hours to get 1/3 of the way through the installation. These files are in the format (file name).exa.snu . If anybody could help me get past this or fix this it would be much appreciated as I have found nothing simmilar on the EA forums or in google. prowler666Member Since: December 17, 2003Posts: 860prowler666FollowForum Posts: 860Followed by: 0Reviews: 0 Stacks: 0Forum Karma: 0#2 Posted by prowler666 (860 posts) - 7 years, 11 months ago my best guess would be that the files are corrupted or the disc is unreadable. eppeterMember Since: April 8, 2009Posts: 25eppeterFollowForum Posts: 25Followed by: 0Reviews: 0 Stacks: 0Forum Karma: 0#3 Posted by eppeter (25 posts) - 7 years, 6 months ago I've finish installing it... and when I click on the Dead Space icon it does not load and says.
