The error appears right at the end of the map loading screen—when it says, "Loading client..." I get a popup: "ERROR: Reliable snapshot overflow". So I have to reload the map (which takes much less time than originally). This happens when I choose a server in the server list (a map in progress), and when I am already on a server and there is map change. What could cause that? How can I solve this? team-fortress-2 share|improve this question edited Apr 22 '12 at 5:45 Wolf 19.9k104211346 asked Apr 21 '12 at 18:05 Guillaume Bois 3542412 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 3 down vote Typically this issue is a memory error of some sort and can be caused by a variety of things almost always related to the map/server that you are connecting to including but not limited to losing your spot on the server, certain plug-ins, poorly optimized maps, bandwidth issues and possibly even actually from snapshots and demos. Valve has not provided much on this issue so explanation and resolution seems dubiously anecdotal at best. The majority of the cited cases that you will find relate to issues with the connection and map more than anything. The only suggested solutions that seem to work are try different maps/servers, use a better connection (this includes running fewer processes that can eat bandwidth ie.torrents, software updates, antivirus software, etc.), lo

And I can't really find anything on it. I am creating my map. I only created one http://gaming.stackexchange.com/questions/63510/why-do-i-get-error-reliable-snapshot-overflow-while-loading-maps side, the red side. Got that all done, everything still worked. I played it. I coped the red side, rotated it, and placed it where it's supposed to go. And now it no longer works and I get this error. I've done it like three times, and every time the same thing happens. This makes sense in your situation where the error didn't occur at first, because only half the map was actually there. Keep in mind that things do not have to be shown on your screen to cause this problem. Poor mapping practices can cause larger amounts of your level to

Ok so recently Steam forums got hacked, and ever since then 10 mins after my srcds has been running Clients get the error reliable snapshot overflow. Sometimes people join they get this message a few seconds disconnect error later. But mostly when they join and assign themselves to a team they freeze and get the error then disconnect. This only happens 10 minutes into the game. I dont know whats causing this I have tried switching maps, I searched this problem but found no solutions other than issues on TF2maps.net with too many props on a disconnect error reliable server causing this. I deleted my bin for srcds and re-installed and it did not fix it. Is this just a Steam thing for right now or did something go to shit? Please im so confused I just want my server running perfectly again EDIT: BTW in my srcds it say about 100 times repeatedly "WARNING: msg overflowed for
