program caused a divide overflow error""If the problem persists, contact your program vendor"This is the message i get when i try to turn on a machine at work. Its a 400 mhz celeron. The hard drive went curropt, and i am in the process or transferring all the data to a new hard drive. I cannot boot the system divide overflow dos anymore due to the error right after the windows 98 boot screen, windows does not load at all. Im not sure what program is trying to load, or where is loading from. I have checked config.sys, autoexec.bat..but im not sure windows is getting this execution to laod or whatever.Any ideas about this error? Thus I would suspect that you should reformat, and then reinstall win 98.
