me was simply disabling and enabling the option of media server under network settings on the PS3. After doing this i now can watch video without the DLNA error 2006, thanks. On my PS3 it takes 30 seconds or more to list the files in a directory, and sometimes just times out with a DLNA 2006 error. I'll try your suggestion, but if I run PS3 Media server I don't have these issues, so it seems like it's a UMS problem not a PS3 problem. Anyway, when I had this problem I found another fix.Go into Network and Sharing center, go to change adapter settings (or whatever you have for adapter settings), open the router, properties, configure, find the advanced tab, go to speed, it should be set to auto, change it to 100 (I changed it to 100 full duplex, I have no idea what the full or half duplex is)And that's it, after I made that change everything loads in an instant now. Good luck.EDIT:OOOOK, it seems that routers come equipped with a bunch of other options that will also slow down your connection speed. Weird. So in the same area I disabled "green ethernet" "energy efficient" and "flow control." The first 2 for sure have speed impacts, t

Is it possible the upgrade coincided with some change to the network? Are there any errors in the Plex DLNA Server.log? Is the DLNA server process staying up? 0 andy@143wv.com Posts: 9Members, Plex Pass July 2013 Hi, Nothing dlna protocol error changed on the network and all is connected via Gigabit switch. I'm actually a network engineer so know I've got all of that side perfect. Am just re-adding the sections back to the Library and will let you know how I get on. Thanks, Andy 0 andy@143wv.com Posts: 9Members, Plex Pass July 2013 Hi, Just had the error again with my Movies section. Quick question, how do I get the log out of the Plex on the Synology? It doesn't allow me to copy and paste. Thanks, Andy 0 schmertzin Posts: 2Members November 2013 Hello everybody. No news about the 2006 error? I'm asking cuz I have a folder named 'Videoclips' with thousands of files and everytime I try to browse this folder on Plex using my PS3 I receive a "2006 error" and cannot see any file. Any tips to help me? Thanks a lot, cheers from Brazil. Mary. 0 schmertzin Posts: 2Members November 2013 Btw, I'm on a wi-fi network. If I fire up my PS3 and opt to view any media (photo's, music or movies) via PS3 Media Server the PS3 runs it's circular little graphic for a while and then tells me there's been a DLNA error 2006. I've searched for this error code via Google and the number of possible/probable causes run into the hundreds! However, if I simply use the XMB on my Sony Bravia in TV mode (i.e. not using the PS3) and run say a slideshow of my photos via PS3 Media Server then all works just fine (albeit it complains of being disconnected from the background music). If I then open an Explorer view of my photos library and remove the Read Only flag at the folder level (but applying the settings to all files and subfolders) then viewing photos at least via the PS3 using PS3 Media Server now works too. So... How do permanently remove the Read Only flag? The flag gets reset within a few seconds from my unsetting it in Explorer. Or How do I get PS3 Media Server running via the actual PS3 to have access to Read Only files? Or Am I barking up the wrong path altogether?
