I tried to search this error in the Internet and i was not able to get any work around to fix this problem. I already enabled the UPnP AV Server of the storage Enclosure and also on the router but still no good. I would love to hear suggestions from you guys.. Thanks... This error occurs over wireless only. i will try to replicate this in our laboratory and see what will happen. thanks for the suggestions. i know it will help me a lot...Routergirl Logged routergirl83 (, ") hilaireg Level 3 Member Posts: 332 Re: A DLNA protocol error (2114) has occurred in PS3 connecting to media server « R

Media Player KB ID 0000696 Dtd 12/10/12 Problem My Windows 7 Media Center can't stream to my dlna protocol error 2101 PS3, but the Windows Media Player that's built into the same PC can, (well it should be able to!) However when I tried, this is what the Playstation http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=2858.0 told me. Media Server Error: A DNLA protocol error (2104) has occurred. Solution Note: Your local firewall on the Windows 7 machine can also cause this problem. I have a decent firewall at home, so I disabled the local firewall on the Media Center, (Start > Run > firewall.cpl). 1. On your Windows 7 Machine open http://www.petenetlive.com/KB/Article/0000696 Windows Explorer (Windows Key+E) > Select Homegroup > View homegroup settings. 2. Make sure you're set to location type Home, if not change it (mine was set to public!). 3. Now "choose what you want to share…". 4. Select as appropriate > Next. 5. Choose Media Streaming options. 6. Allow All, (or if you know the MAC address of the Playstation it will be listed as "Unknown Device" and, (if you can see it on the list), you can add that in on it's own, and allow). 7. Accept the warning. 8. If you allowed all, this is what you should see. 9. Finally open the services (Start > Windows key+R > services.msc {enter}) and ensure that the "Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service" Service is started > Set to Automatic > and set to logon as either the Network Service, or the Local System. Hello Chris, The latest firmware update from Sony (v2.2) causes this to appear sometimes unfortunately. Please try the following - it should help: 1) Turn off the PS3 2) Turn off your PC running Mezzmo service 3) Turn off your network router then 1) Start the router (usually you need to wait 30 or more seconds for it to start fully) 2) Turn on your PC and run Mezzmo 3) Turn on the PS3 Hopefully it helps. Please let me know how it goes. Dennis Mezzmo Android: Install it on your tablet, smartphone, Android TV or Amazon Fire to browse and stream files from your Mezzmo library to all your devices. You may get a DLNA error message: DLNA Protocol Error 7531. Solution: First, make sure that all your connections are working correctly. Then navigate to the PS3's Media Server: Settings -> Network Settings -> Media Server Connection. Disable the Media Server Connection, back out of the menu, then go back to the Media Server Connection and Enable it again. This should fix the issue. However, you may need to restart your DNLA service as well. For more information, please visit http://community.eu.playstation.com/playstationeu/board/message?board.id=147&message.id=22968.
