The PS3 keeps telling me DLNA and network errors are occcuring, most often DLNA error 2104. I'm using Windows XP and have tried

both WM11 and TVersity as media servers. The PS3 will recognise either server, but whenever I try playing a song or video, the errors start appearing and little happens. Things were better (if certainly not flawless) a while back, using my

old laptop and an older version of TVersity. Now, though, my network setup has totally changed: I've added a PC, am using a new router - and I've updated the PS3 firmware. I've done a bit of searching, and there seem to be quite a few people with similar problems, but no-one seems to have come up with a solution. Could the problems be due to the new PS3 firmware, as some seem to think? Should I be looking at my wireless LAN dlna protocol error 2101 set-up? It seems like either the data is not being sent swiftly enough to the PS3 or the PS3 is not accepting it quickly enough... I'd appreciate any thoughts, since I don't really know where to start on this one... _________ (Oh, and I know there was an earlier thread on this, but that was a while back and didn't seem to offer any solutions.) My PS3 seems to lose connection after streaming video for +- 10 mins. Then I have to switch the PS off and on and then watch another 10 mins or so and it happens again. I have tried to reinstall http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/210917-PS3-loses-connection-to-TVersity-after-10mins TVersity, however the problem still remains the same. I notice that every time it is about to lose connection the sound dissapears and then the video carries on for a few secs then I get a black screen with this error "this content cannot be played (80028801)". Then I stop and try to continue play from TVersity and in the top right hand corner it says "media server error. dlna protocol error 2104 has occured" and it says that the file content is corrupt or something. Like I mentioned above the only fix seems to restart the PS and then watch for another 10mins. I have a wireless router, Siemens giga762SX speed is 54Mbps. My TVersity desktop is connected with ethernet, only windows firewall, AVG free - which I don't think will have aany affect. I installed TVersity using instructions on this forum, viewtopic.php?f=28&t=27398 Thanks, anarchyrabbit. If so .. then the 10 minute thing might be related to

2008-May-13, 3:59 pm ref: whrl.pl/Rbxkra posted 2008-May-13, 3:59 pm O.P. So i installed TVersity on my PC, however when i try to access it from the PS3 i see a lot of DLNA 2104 errors. Now i think it may be due to me running firmware 2.30 when TVersity works with firmware 2.10. However if that was the case i was expecting more threads posting this error up, but i couldn't find many.I have enabled UPnP on the router along with the PC. Also does it mean much if the PC is connected via ethernet to the router and PS3 is wireless to the router? I managed to get it to play a movie for about 5mins then it froze. Anyone else having these issues? This is also how mine is setup, so it must be something else.I am not too sure as i basically installed Tversity & codecs and it worked straight away on my PS3. On my 360 was another story though. I did have VLC media player installed & whatever codecs come with that though. Don't think i installed any others.
