Any ideas? 0 mfeingol Director of Engineering Posts: 5,057Members, Plex Employee, Plex Pass, Plex Ninja Plex Employee June 2012 Every time I've seen error 2006 on the PS3, it's the server not responding https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/42684/ps3-protocol-error in time. You might look into Plex DLNA Server.log, see if there are any errors, or if responses are taking a long time to get back. I've also found the PS3 gets into modes where it just doesn't want to talk to the DLNA server. Restarting the PS3 fixes that... 0 bhim Posts: 1Members June 2012 Hi I was getting a ton of DNLA errors (501 most recently and other numbers as well). Following instructions from the forum I moved my PS3 next to my wifi router (Linksys WRT54G) and plugged it in -- i.e. converted it to a wired connection. All the errors went away immediately, I can stream from my Linux box running PMS 0.9.6.3.143-4466fb5 on Ubuntu 12.04, which is connected to my router via wireless, flawlessly. Fast-forward and related controls don't work yet but browsing the media server and streaming work perfectly. If I can help anyone by providing logs or any further info, happy to do so. 0 Sign In or Register to comment. Howdy, Stranger! It looks like you're new here. I use XP with WMP 11, and my PS3 connected via a linksys router. It used to be fine, but now for some reason whenever I try to connect I get a DLNA 2006 protocol error. If anyone has any tips https://forum.synology.com/enu/viewtopic.php?t=24354 for getting round this, it'd be much appreciated. mallet, Mar 13, 2008 Mar 13, 2008 at 11:53 PM Jay, Mar 13, 2008 #2 Jay Banned Joined: Jun 25, 2006 Messages: 17,392 Products Owned: 0 Products Wanted: 0 Trophy Points: 166 dlna protocol Location: on the battlefield.... I put this down to streaming from an external hardrive that is connected to my PC. I've more or less given up on both the PS3 and 360 as a media streamer. The best option I've found is to copy the file over to the HDD and play it locally. Think I'll go down the HDD upgrade route but that's a bit of a mess around really. "But our trip was different. Once it finished I could access everything on my PS3/Samsung TV with no problems/errors.-NBreslow Top Display posts from previous: All posts1 day7 days2 weeks1 month3 months6 months1 year Sort by AuthorPost timeSubject AscendingDescend
