On my PS3 it takes 30 seconds or more to list the files in a directory, and sometimes just times out with a DLNA 2006 error. I'll try your suggestion, but if I run PS3 Media server I

don't have these issues, so it seems like it's a UMS problem not a PS3 problem. Anyway, when I had this problem I found another fix.Go into Network and Sharing center, go to change adapter settings (or whatever you have for adapter settings), open the router, properties, configure, find the advanced tab, go to speed, it should be set to auto, change it to 100 (I changed it to 100 full duplex, I have no idea what the full or half duplex is)And that's it, after I made that change everything loads in an instant now. Good luck.EDIT:OOOOK, it seems that routers come equipped with a bunch of other options that will also slow down your connection speed. Weird. So in the same area I disabled "green ethernet" "energy efficient" and "flow control." The first 2 for sure have speed impacts, the 3d I'm not sure about, but It hasn't hurt. Just wanted to let people know.BTW after doing this change shuttering on 1080p for me has decreased a ton.Again, good luck.EDIT: I also disabled Interrupt moderation which is supposed to help a lot as well Top Butman Posts: 3 Joined: Sun Apr 12, 2015 3:22 pm Re: DLNA error 2006 Quote Postby Butman » Sun

Is it possible the upgrade coincided with some change to the network? Are there any errors in the Plex DLNA Server.log? Is the DLNA server process staying up? 0 andy@143wv.com Posts: 9Members, Plex Pass July 2013 Hi, Nothing changed on the network and all is connected via Gigabit switch. I'm actually a network engineer so know I've got all of that side perfect. Am just re-adding the https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/74903/dlna-error-2006-on-ps3 sections back to the Library and will let you know how I get on. Thanks, Andy 0 andy@143wv.com Posts: 9Members, Plex Pass July 2013 Hi, Just had the error again with my Movies section. Quick question, how do I get the log out of the Plex on the Synology? It doesn't allow me to copy and paste. Thanks, Andy 0 schmertzin Posts: 2Members November 2013 Hello everybody. No news about the 2006 error? I'm asking cuz I have a folder named 'Videoclips' with thousands of files and everytime I try to browse this folder on Plex using my PS3 I receive a "2006 error" and cannot see any file. Any tips to help me? Thanks a lot, cheers from Brazil. Mary. 0 schmertzin Posts: 2Members November 2013 Btw, I'm on a wi-fi network. I use https://www.avforums.com/threads/dlna-2006-errors.724983/ XP with WMP 11, and my PS3 connected via a linksys router. It used to be fine, http://comphelp.org/guide/ps3-media-server-dlna-protocol-error-2006-fix/ but now for some reason whenever I try to connect I get a DLNA 2006 protocol error. If anyone has any tips for getting round this, it'd be much appreciated. mallet, Mar 13, 2008 Mar 13, 2008 at 11:53 PM Jay, Mar 13, 2008 #2 Jay Banned Joined: Jun 25, 2006 Messages: 17,392 Products Owned: 0 Products Wanted: 0 Trophy Points: 166 Location: on the battlefield.... I put this down to streaming from an external hardrive that is connected to my PC. I've more or less given up on both the PS3 and 360 as a media streamer. The best option I've found is to copy the file over to the HDD and play it locally. Think I'll go down the HDD upgrade route but that's a bit of a mess around really. "But our trip was different.
