from my mac, if so could somebody help? thanks in advance TheRocker07-09-2008, 23:46http://www.twonkyvision.de/ They do a mac server (along with Linux, Windows and NAS), and it http://www.psu.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-144660.html works better than all the free crap.. shalan07-10-2008, 02:07i don't know what r http://ahlfou.rg.ro/d8-V u talking bfd_josh07-10-2008, 10:52so why post the most pointless post ever????? ElementR07-10-2008, 11:00Yeah you can stream stuff check out MediaLink (http://www.nullriver.com/products/medialink), it works wonderfully on my MacBook. It costs $20 but it worth it. There is a trial but I think its only for 30 mins. snazpz00709-19-2008, 12:03I've got Medialink - their lousy dlna protocol little 30 minute trial tricked me into buying the bloody thing - but now I get more DLNA errors than I do streaming media. I'm running a MacBook via a Linksys WRT150N router, streaming (ha!) to a 40GB PS3. From other forums, it would appear that Windows sheep seem to be having the same problems with their precious WMP11 - so is this a Sony issue, or dlna protocol error have I dropped 20 bucks to downgrade my Mac to a lousy Wintel box? Detail - both the MB and the PS3 are connected via a Wireless-N/G (autodetecting) connection. The PS3 consistently shows better than 50% signal strength (which ought to be plenty to stream no more data than a transcoded AAC file), my NAT type is 2, and I've stripped every firewall I can out of the data stream - and I still get DLNA error 2104 nine out of every ten times I try to play a song across the network. Other hit songs include "DLNA error 6003," "HTTP error 500," and "There are no tracks." I've also got an old Mac Mini G4 hardwired into the network, and I've tried putting MediaLink on that machine as well - the PS3 finds the server, but consistently fails to find any tracks in the bleeding folders. So, I've never actually successfully gotten a stream from the Mini to the PS3, and it's hardwired. At least the MB works about 10% of the time. So, again, is this just some feature that Sony has fouled up in one of their updates, or am I missing something somewhere?
