What format are the movies in? What video codec is used? –ngen May 5 '11 at 19:21 add a comment| 2 Answers 2 active oldest votes up vote 1 down vote The majority of the time this error comes up because the folder they're in isn't shared. Occasionally though it can be caused by windows media player losing sync with device. If the latter is the case you just need to resync it. An even less likely culprit is the firewall. Some people will tell you to turn it off but this is NOT necessary. Just check it make sure sharing is properly enabled. share|improve this answer answered May 5 '11 at 17:21 Blomkvist 2,1491918 How would I go about resyncing it? The new movies are in the same folder as the old movies and the old movies play fine....its just the new movies that don't. &n
get a folder called unable to connect. And if I click on it, I get a DLNA Protocol Error (2114) message. Netflix folder says "username/password error". I've checked this on my PlayOn server and the test ps3 media server not working windows 10 comes back fine. It worked just fine right after I installed the latest version, but then how to restart dlna service ps3 wouldn't work again a few hours later. Anyone have any suggestions? You may get a DLNA error message: DLNA Protocol Error 7531. Solution: First, make sure that all your connections are working correctly. Then navigate to the PS3's Media Server: Settings -> Network Settings -> Media Server Connection. Disable the Media Server Connection, back out of the menu, then go back to the Media Server Connection and Enable it again. This should fix the issue. However, you may need to restart your DNLA service as well. For more information, please visit http://community.eu.playstation.com/playstationeu/board/message?board.id=147&message.id=22968.
