DNLA Protocol Error 2101. We could access the PlayStation Store without a problem though. After connecting the PS3 directly to dlna protocol error 501 ps3 media server the cable modem, the PS3 worked fine. So we then knew the problem had to be with the Linksys router configuration. After checking out the router settings, we figured out that UPnP was enabled. http://community.us.playstation.com/t5/PlayStation-Network-Support/PS3-DLNA-error/td-p/40743307 The UPnP feature is supposed to automatically grant permission to devices to access needed network resources. It doesn't always play well with certain devices though. So we disabled UPnP with these steps: Login to the Linksys router's admin panel. You can usually get there by opening a web browser and going to "http://192.168.1.1" (usually this is the IP address used, but it may be different depending on your configuration) http://www.technipages.com/ps3-dlna-protocol-error-2101-fix in a web browser. Go to "Connectivity" in the left pane. Click the "Administration" tab. Uncheck "UPnP" to disable it. Select "OK", and you're done. If you have a router from a different brand, check the user guide for information on how to disable this feature. I believe they are working on the servers. There is no easy fix to this, you just have to wait for an unknown amount of time till the network server comes back again. You can reset your network and try again. Or If you have a friend that uses PS, check if that of your friend has this same error. Regards.
