Dlna Protocol Error 2104
2008 I love the DLNA capability: it 'worked' like a charm when I 1st set it up. Now, however, I can only access my pictures and video's from my PC. For some reason, I cannot access any music. here are some details:-NetGear Rangemax WPN824 v2-The PC is a Dell Precision 370-The music IS stored on a WD MYBook (500gig)-Yes, I have well over 50,000 songs (no, I don't share).-My search path is music - music --- DLNA Protocol error 2006 - No Tracks Found-If I use this search path - Music - pictures - I'll then get other options. I typically choose "folders". It'll list my music folders (odd) but when I pick one it'll return with 'No Tracks'..-I've tried wired and wirless connectivity with the exact same results.-The amount of music I have shouldn't be a problem because it did work for a few days.-Yes, I've updated my library and 'monitored folders' in WMP several times hoping that all it needed was a little kicking around.-I've had my PS3 for just over a week (12/28/07) and it is on 2.10-I'm a geek but I'm not a pro: please repond in "DLNA for Dummies" speak. PLEASE help me. Access to my videos was my primary goal, but access to my music came a VERY close 2nd.Thanks for your help,,, and/or sympathy. I hadn't tried streaming audio onto my PS3 for months because I knew it wasn't working and none of the firewall tricks or otherwise were working. Then magically a few weeks ago it started being able to stream my audio library, now today I decided to get Windows XP service pack 3 and I'm stuck back where i started. Nothing will stream and I'm completely annoyed. I might try rolling back SP3 and seeing if that helps. I'll update the board when I do that. View My Profile 'Server error: HTTP http://community.us.playstation.com/t5/PlayStation-Network/DLNA-Protocol-error-2006/td-p/27451711 status code 206' I don't know if any1s aware but the recent PS3 firmware update (version 4.11) disables download support for music via external websites. It does however fix browser functionality across several interactive sites like google etc making them displayable again but the catch is music won't download onto the hard drive directly from handy websites like mp3skrull (best free music PS3 site http://www.playstationtrophies.org/forum/ps3-discussion/146469-server-error-http-status-code-206-a.html imo ), so u can kiss gdbye to convenient free music! It includes codes from IETF internet standards, other IETF RFCs, other specifications, and some additional commonly used codes. The first digit of the status code specifies one of five classes of response; an HTTP client must recognise these five classes at a minimum. The phrases used are the standard wordings, but any human-readable alternative can be provided. Unless otherwise stated, the status code is part of the HTTP/1.1 standard (RFC 7231).[1] The Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) maintains the official registry of HTTP status codes.[2] Microsoft IIS sometimes uses additional decimal sub-codes to provide more specific information,[3] but not all of those are here (note that these sub-codes only appear in the response payload and in documentation; not in the place of an actual HTTP status code). This class of status code indicates a provisional response, consisting only of the Status-Line and optional headers, and is terminated by an empty line. Since HTTP/1.0 did not define any 1xx status codes, servers must not[note 1] send a 1xx response to an HTTP/1.0 client except under experimental conditions.[4] 100 Continue The server has received the request headers and the client should proceed to send the request body (in the case of a request for which a body needs to be sent; for example, a POST request). Sending a large request body to a server after a request has been rejected for inappropriate headers would be inefficient. To have a server check the request's headers, a client must send Expect: 100-continue as a header in its initial request and receive a 100 Continue status code in response before sending the body. The response 417 Expectation Failed indicates the request should not be continued.[2] 101 Switching Protocols The requester has asked the server to switch protocols and the server has agreed to do so.[5] 102 Processing (WebDAV; RFC 2518) A WebDAV request may contain many sub-requests involvin
