of my network. Earlier it was 10.1.0.1-10.1.0.254 and now it is 10.2.0.1-10.2.0.254 But now whenever any of the client is trying to browse any website he is being redirected event id 404 407 408 to any other website or getting DNS error 404. I have checked the event viewer logs. there are error in DNS server event id 404, 407 and 408. can someone help me out with this. Friday, February 01, 2013 1:02 PM Reply | Quote Answers 0 Sign in to vote Thanks Jeremyfor the reply but i have event id 404 service rpc error got my issue resolved by seizing the role as my backup DC was server 2008 r2 which was also my previous main DC. I havetransferredall the FSMO role but than also old DC wasneededto verify the role. Now i have seized the roles from the old AD and everything is working fine.
