capability. The only way I can download anything onto my PSP is via USB Connection to my laptop or desktop.Communication with the server failed.A DNS error has occured.(80410402)The previous posts regarding this error were not helpful. Again, I DO NOT own a PS3. So PS3 Remote Play solutions are rather moot in my case. Does anyone have a solution? Opus pro Caput Report FB Tweet G+ Message 1 of 6

PS3 again, but it still doesn't work ( tried to connect my psp a few days ago also ). I reset the remote control settings with my psp-ps3, then put the PS3 on remote control mode...and then I tried to go on the internet. Unfort. http://www.psu.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-67823.html that didn't work, I keep getting an error: Communication with the server failed. A DNS error has occured ( 80410402) Does anyone know how to solve this? juicyd05-08-2007, 17:51are you using a ethernet connection, or a wireless router?? have you got your https://www.avforums.com/threads/remote-play-over-internet-connection-error.835144/ router set up to only allow pc's with certain mac addresses to access the internet or not?? have you set up your remote play settings up properly, i.e. done a search on your psp for your wireless access point in infrastructure dns error mode, then added your ps3??? Keesie05-08-2007, 18:25My PS3 is connected through ethernet cable, and I set up my remoteplay settings...in the system settings of the ps3, connected my PSP with a USB cable...and then check PLayStation 3 connection on my PSP...but then it gives me that error... sorrow88005-08-2007, 18:49Hey Keesie, try this out in the EXACT ORDER listed below: I had this exact same problem Sunday, but it's an easy fix. I just bought my PSP Friday and was trying to get remote play dns error psp to work, but couldn't....I was doing stuff out of sequence and once, I did it in the right order, it worked fine...hope this helps. 1. Plug in PSP to PS3 2. On PS3 go to Register Device...it will tell you to connect with the USB cable... 3. Just leave it at this screen and DON'T click "ok" yet! Then on the PSP...go to USB connections under "settings" tab...click okay. And leave the PSP on this screen...(It will appear nothing happened on this screen, it will just say USB mode, like you didn't do anything...it's fine, just let it here on this screen.) 4. Now that the USB connections is on...go BACK to the PS3 and click okay...it should register it now. You have to do it in this order and leave the screens up where I tell you to. Hope this helps, if not let me know... (I know this has helped 3 other people get connected that couldn't before...also make sure your wireless switch is on and that your psp version is updated enough) Keesie05-08-2007, 19:26Hey Keesie, try this out in the EXACT ORDER listed below: I had this exact same problem Sunday, but it's an easy fix. My psp can connect via private network through the router or direct to the PS3 no problem. I have tried to connect via the internet through my router at home and through a neighbors router. The PS3 boots up and goes to the "remote play in use" screen. The psp goes to the screen that says "please wait it will take at most 90 seconds to connect." Soon after the PS3 gets to the remote play screen the psp gets the following error "Connection error has occurred. (80010068)" I have tried giving the PS3 static ip dmz and tried forwarding ports 9293 but I still get the same connection error. I was searching the net for hours yesterday, I found a few people with this problem but no solution. The psp is an old fat psp (bought from Canada before psp's were released over here) on firmware v4.05. The PS3 is a 40gig on v2.43 Help :uk: JonnyConcrete, Sep 30, 2008 Sep 30, 2008 at 6:27 PM pixel8, Sep 30, 2008 #2 pixel8 Member Joined: Oct 8, 2005 Messages: 982 Products Owned: 0 Products Wanted: 0 Trophy Points: 28 Ratings: +48 My psp is on 4.01 m33 CFW and is a fat. I had exactly the same issues (including the headbanging and blood boiling frustrations) but i had a diffferent error code...mines was also a DNS error. I went into the PS3 and manually entered the routers' Primary and Secondary DNS addresses...you could try that. You've probably done everything else as i did...it did work though!!!
