Dns Error Ps3 80710104
for Speed Hot Pursuit on my new PS3 yesterday. It worked fine the first time but after that I kept getting the DNS Error open dns project repeatedly. I tried rebooting both my PS3 and the modem/router a couple of times to no avail. Here's what finally did work for me. How to Fix PS3 DNS Error: You should change the DNS address on your PlayStation(not your http://www.gamespot.com/forums/playstation-nation-1000002/dns-error-80710102-26204313/ modem) to some other value. This is what someone suggested on the PlayStation community website. So I tried the addresses from Opendns and it worked just fine for me. How to Change DNS settings: You need to configure your Internet Connection(Wired or Wireless) once again. Go to Settings > Network Settings > Internet Connection Settings Select Yes, then Custom Choose your connection method - Wired or Wireless If you're Wired, select Auto-Detect for the Ethernet Operation Mode If you're Wireless, http://www.callingallgeeks.org/solved-ps3-dns-error-80710102-on-playstation-network/ select the security type that your router is using and enter your Wireless Password IP Address Settings - Automatic and then Do Not Set (DHCP host name) Now set DNS Settings to Manual and enter the numbers below Primary DNS 208.67.222.222 Secondary DNS 208.67.220.220 Set the rest of the settings as follows: MTU - Automatic Proxy Server - Do Not Use UPnP - Enable Then press X to save the settings, and then X again to test the connection. The ‘Internet Connection' should now pass, and hopefully there will be no more DNS errors! If you have any other PlayStation related questions feel free to ask us via comments. Like Clockwork - Hands-On With Dishonored 2 PS3 internet connection error [Solved] DM Gold Coast, Queensland 2353 posts So after about 3 or 4 months of my PS3 sitting dns error in the dust i've gotten it back into action again. However since I have changed ISPs to bigpond I can't seem to connect online anymore. Before it was as easy as doing the automatic settings and then going into the PSN. Now it's stuffed. When I go to test the internet settings though it says everything is fine. Wireless connection is at 100% when I try that but right now i'm using a cable. - I've tried both automatic and manually settings ps3 dns error for the ps3 and neither help. - I've tried setting the IP and DNS manually, using DNS settings on the bigpond site here and using the QLD ones. - Each time both the internet browser and PSN parts of the PS3 both time out giving me the "connection timed out" error. - I've got ports forwarded on my router and set it to the IP i've assigned the PS3 but that doesn't help either. Anyone here able to help me out a bit? This is driving me a bit batty here as I just can't work out why it would say i'm on the net, but not actually let me connect.
