bit ago, and not being a hard core gamer, it wasn't easy for me to figure out because I've never used one of those things before (so sue me). I had no psp dns error fix idea why this error was coming up because it found the DNS servers when

it was auto configuring, but it wasn't working. Since the existing DNS server didn't work, I decided to change the connection to the server failed. a dns error has occurred 80410414 DNS servers to the ones provided free of charge by OpenDNS. Head on over to their site and write down the server IPs, then go to Sony's Help Page for help on setting up the

They should be able to help you out there. Deejy March 4th, 2008 at 6:37 pm Aye guys This is how you fix it………..(derogatory comment removed)!!!!!! Andrew Wells March 4th, 2008 at 7:03 pm Deejy, thank you so much for showing the intelligence of the Miami-Dade County Public Schools in Florida. Obviously, we can't have derogatory comments like the one you attempted to put on this page. I suggest you pay attention in class instead of surfing the ‘net. I also highly recommend that you don't post garbage from school computers, because I now have the street address of your school's IT department as well as an email address to the department that would love to hear about their students' activities online. Did you put it in? Did you manually set up the connection? etc. etc. etc... Yeah, I have no idea. Not enough info. I run across little network issues all the time and it's usually cuz I overlooked something simple. Use the intranet to find some networking guides, or better yet PSP specific ones. Likely 3 bajillion people have already messed up in the same way you have. dreamer79812Member Since: July 12, 2009Posts: 25dreamer79812FollowForum Posts: 25Followed by: 0Reviews: 0 Stacks: 0Forum Karma: 0#3 Posted by dreamer79812 (25 posts) - 7 years, 3 months ago no my router doe not have a password, but i have a belkin router is it because i got a stupid router though? The first time I tried it kept on coming up that the IP had timed out. Finally I switched to the manual IP setting and entered the dns error IP and DNS addresses correctly. This time the error 8041040F came up. I phoned the PSP technical support and explained my problem. They said I should contact my internet provider (aol) to recieve the correct DNS address so I did. They told me to use the cmd IPCONFIG/ALL in the command box, my settings came up and I compared them with those on my PSP's internet psp dns error settings. All were correct. I have also contacted my routers manufacturers, Netgear, about the problem. They told me to contact PSP again so I did so. They then told me to contact AOL..... again. Below are my router settings.Connection Name: Connection 1WLAN Security Setting: WEPAddress Settings: CustomIP Address Setting: ManualIP Address: 192.168.0.1Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0Default Router: 192.168.0.1Primary DNS: 192.168.0.1Secondary DNS: 0.0.0.0Proxy: Do Not UseInternet Browser: Do Not StartIt also comes up on the test results that the internet connection failed. Can anyone please help me? Oh and your PSP ip can't be the same as any computers you have on the same network either, otherwise you'll get problems kimbokastenivMember Since: December 10, 2004Posts: 3892kimbokastenivFollowForum Posts: 3892Followed by: 0Reviews: 7 Stacks: 0Forum Karma: 0#3 Posted by kimbokasteniv (3892 posts) - 9 years, 8 months ago Also note, that there is a high chanc
