The first time I tried it kept on coming up that the IP had timed out. Finally I switched to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VwzjV81_NJI the manual IP setting and entered the IP and DNS addresses correctly. This time the error 8041040F came up. I phoned the PSP technical support and explained my problem. They said I should contact my internet provider (aol) to recieve the correct DNS address so I did. They told me to use the cmd IPCONFIG/ALL in the command box, my settings came up http://www.gamespot.com/forums/playstation-nation-1000002/dns-error-8041040f-25401689/ and I compared them with those on my PSP's internet settings. All were correct. I have also contacted my routers manufacturers, Netgear, about the problem. They told me to contact PSP again so I did so. They then told me to contact AOL..... again. Below are my router settings.Connection Name: Connection 1WLAN Security Setting: WEPAddress Settings: CustomIP Address Setting: ManualIP Address: 192.168.0.1Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0Default Router: 192.168.0.1Primary DNS: 192.168.0.1Secondary DNS: 0.0.0.0Proxy: Do Not UseInternet Browser: Do Not StartIt also comes up on the test results that the internet connection failed. Can anyone please help me? Oh and your PSP ip can't be the same as any computers you have on the same network either, otherwise you'll get problems kimbokastenivMember Since: December 10, 2004Posts: 3892kimbokastenivFollowForum Posts: 3892Followed by: 0Reviews: 7 Stacks: 0For

My PSP is a 1001 running Pro-C 6.60 Temp-Hack. Anyone know how to fix this issue? 098v, Apr 21, 2013 Top #1 Member trumpet-205 Embrace the darkness within Joined: Jan 14, 2009 Messages: 4,363 Country: That's DNS error, meaning error on your network side. Check router and make sure your DNS configuration is working fine. Also make sure PSP gets IP address and DNS automatically from the router. trumpet-205, Apr 21, 2013 Top #2 OP Newcomer 098v Advanced Member Joined: May 13, 2012 Messages: 54 Country: trumpet-205 said: ↑ That's DNS error, meaning error on your network side. Everything is configured correctly my PS3 can connect to my router using wireless connection just fine it's just my PSP, I've also tried to connect to my WiFi without my homebrew enabled and still the same thing happens. 098v, Apr 23, 2013 Top #3 Member trumpet-205 Embrace the darkness within Joined: Jan 14, 2009 Messages: 4,363 Country: Again, check your PSP settings. Make sure it is using DHCP. For some reason your PSP couldn't get DNS address from the router. trumpet-205, Apr 23, 2013 To
