Can you able to view the List Settings page? (Navigate via Site Action > Site Settings > List and libraries under Site Administration) If you can able to view the List settings page, that problem was because of URL Is this for a single list ? Are you able to create a new list into the site? Please check and make sureTeam Collaboration Lists feature is activated Alternately create a copy of the list page and close all web parts, then add web parts one by one and see which web part stops page to render Let us know your results Regards, Pratik Vyas | SharePoint Consultant | http://sharepointpratik.blogspot.com Posting is provided AS IS with no warranties, and confers no rights Please remember to click Mark As Answer if a post solves your problem or Vote As Helpful if it was useful. I assume you mean by 'outside' the server, users are trying to view the page on a different URL? If so, it might be the URLs to access the site 'outside SharePoint' are not configured correctly. I would suggest a few things to start with: When you say it works 'in SharePoint server' does this mean that the whole site is accessible, with no problems? But using a different URL (i.e. host header?), fails - for just this one page with the list or the whole site? Check you have Alternate Access Mappings configured correctly as suggested above - check that the URL is setup correctly in any AAM zones defined, and that the authentication (e.g. Anonymous, Forms whatever required) is also setup too. Obviously since some users didn’t get the error, the lists must all at least exist, so I first assumed it was probably a permissions thing does not on one of the lists being accessed by one of the custom web parts. After an exhaustive check of permissions on every list in the site, I was able to rule that idea out. The message "List does not exist" didn't seem to be exactly helpful. With some trial-and-error I was able to narrow it down to one web part, so I opened the code and started walking does not exist thru it. I finally found the culprit… in one section of the code I found something like this: SPUserCollection groupUsers = theGroup.Users; So you see the code is trying to get a list of all the users that belong to a particular Group. In this case, different users would get different values for theGroup, and it would not always be a group they belonged to. Here's where it would break. If the current user didn't belong to the Group, the Group would need to allow Everyone to see it's members, which is luckily a property of a SharePoint Group - just go to the Group and select "Group Settings" from the "Settings" dropdown: Once that was set to "Everyone" on the Groups, the problem went away. Of course, another (possibly better) way to fix this would be to run the code under elevated permissions. But at least I got to the bottom of the error. And the lists did exist 🙂 Subscribe to the Microsoft Weekly Digest * indicates required Email Address * Weekly Digest Adobe Consumer Markets Data & Analytics Digital Experience Digital Transformation Financial Services Healthcare IBM Integrate Life at Perficient Life Sciences Microsoft Optimized Global Delivery
List does not exist. The page you selected contains a list that does not exist. It may have been deleted by another user - SharePoint 2010error List does not exist. The page you selected contains a list that does not exist. It may have been deleted by another user - SharePoint 2010error I have been struggling to resolve "List does not exist. The page you selected contains a list that does not exist. It may have been deleted by another user" error for the past 48hrs. Situation: One of my client whose site I had setup recently started getting the above error. The error occurred when editing a view or modifying an existing view of a document library or a list. The site was accessed internally over http and externally over https. This error occured only when accessing the site over https and not via http. Before you think ahhhh dumb nerd it was AAM let me tell you my readers I have been with SharePoint before AAM was THE word. The users had not removed any list template or site template and the troublesome thing was that this error did not appear on the top level site elements. ULS logs didn't help, shifting and juggling between AAM zones didn't help, SharePoint publishing feature on and off didn't help, changing site for SharePoint groups and even to the extent adding all Domain Users as site collection admins didn't help (Exterme I know). Resolution: 1. Login to your server and open IIS. 2. Click on the https site, probably this be the site running on port 443. 3. In the IIS site options click on HTTP Handlers. 4. Look for OwssvrHandler, Right-click and select Edit Feature permission and make sure that Execute option is selected as shown below. Click Ok. 5. Restart IIS and you should be on your way.
