Solved Issue with "Print Processor Does Not Exist" - Windows 7 Pro 64-bit Posted on 2013-04-05 Windows OS Printers does not and Scanners Windows 7 1 Verified Solution 3 Comments 6,633 Views Last Modified: 2013-04-23 I am having an issue with a particular domain-joined Windows 7 computer that seems to have had its print services all messed up. The computer was priting just fine yesterday to a certain point, where it just stopped working. All the network joined computers disappeared from Devices and Printers, and it was giving does not exist an error that the Print Spooler was not running. So, simple enough, cleared out the information in the Printers and Drivers folder in %systemroot%\windows\system32\spool\* folder, restarted the Print Spooler, and I then had the ability to try and add new printers. However, when I went to re-add these printers, the print spooler was stopping/crashing during the install process. I repeated this step over and over, and then, out of nowhere, I started to get the "printer processor does not exist" or "cannot connect to printer" error message. I uninstalled print services, rebooted, reinstalled print services, and tried to add again, and no luck. I the printer driver files are ok, as I was able to add the printer to two other domain-joined Windows 7 machines and print just fine. System restore on the affected computer did not alleviate the problem either. I'm not sure what I am missing, and I am trying to prevent a wipe and re-install of the OS. Any help would be much appreciated!! 0 Question by:id4382 Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 30 Best Solution byWayne Barron Check this link out, and see if the Registery setting will assist you in resolving this i

The default print processor winprint.dll is missing from the directory %systemroot%\system32\Spool\Prtprocs\W32x86 The Winprint key in the registry is missing or corrupt If the winprint.dll is not found you should expand Winprint.dl_ from your Windows NT installation CD using the EXPAND command expand -r
